I came by for lunch with my coworkers with a recommendation from one of them. We came for some sushi, but we all ended up getting udon and ramen with some rolls and calamari as appetizers. We came right as they opened, and we were the only people in there! The service was great, and the food was delicious. I would like to come back for dinner sometime for a few drinks, as it seemed like they have a huge variety of drinks on display.
Absolutely delicious food!! Sushi Mafia has a HUGE menu! Our absolute favorite is the unique spicy edamame. Charged to perfection with chile de arbol. The atmosphere is very chill. The buser (Tupac look-a-like) is very attentive and professional.
This place is AMAZING. Our new "go-to" sushi spot. The food is always so good I honestly don't even think about having my phone at the table so sorry, but no pictures. I love the blue crab roll and all the fish is so fresh. You really can't go wrong with anything you get here. It's on the corner and is such a cute cozy spot. We love sitting in the booth in the corner. One thing about this place is it's probably hands down the best service I have ever had. Everyone is so nice and attentive and there's many people on the floor constantly checking on you. A must try.
Nice spot for sushi! I really enjoyed the amazing roll. We also got miso soup, edamame, the baked salmon roll and salmon avocado roll.
This was superb. We had a few items including the Punk Roll. Everything was ultra-fresh. Prices were great. Recommended. These were what we had. All were delicious: Punk protein roll American gangster roll Special Salmon Sushi.
Heard a lot of things about this place and I was so exited to finally go! The rolls were all so good!! My faves were the god father for those crunchy onions, American gangster had an amazing sauce on it. They had a delusions pineapple sake and I also had a few sake bombs. Very delish. The service and ambiance were on point too. They always have something playing on the TV. Such good sushi rolls in Long Beach!
Absolutely, my new favorite sushi spot. This place is pretty small and it was packed when we got there, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Once we were seated and ordered our food came out pretty quickly. Everything I mean absolutely everything was so fresh and amazing. The nachos were one of my favorites. The crispiness with the tuna it was just a flavor bomb in your mouth. An absolute must is the Long Beach Sun. Jampacked sushi just so many flavors. I didn't want to share. Service was friendly and fast. A definite must try.
Sushi Mafia is an essential destination for anyone who values exceptional sushi and outstanding service. Each bite of sushi boasts remarkable freshness, reflecting the skill and dedication of the chefs. The fish is so tender it practically melts in your mouth, with flavors that are expertly balanced to highlight the quality of the ingredients. The presentation is stunning, and the menu offers a diverse range of options, appealing to both traditional sushi fans and those seeking something a little more inventive. In short, Sushi Mafia offers an unforgettable dining experience for both seasoned sushi lovers and newcomers alike. Whether you're in the mood for top-notch sushi or perfectly paired sake, this place hits all the right notes. Highly recommended!
I was looking for a good sushi place in Long Beach and Sushi Mafia popped up multiple times as the "best" place to get sushi. I knew I had to try it and I'm glad to say it did not disappoint! I was pleasantly surprised how they provided us with a complimentary bowl of miso soup right as when sat down. I have also never seen so many different combination of sushi rolls before...we definitely had a hard time deciding. We ended up ordering: - Baked Salmon Hand roll - Salmon special (2 pieces of salmon nigiri with special sauce and toppings) - Casino Roll - Baked Salmon Roll (not pictured) - Baked Mussels This was the perfect amount for me and my boyfriend. The portion sizes were pretty generous and my favorite out of them was definitely the salmon special. On top of all the delicious food we ate the service was top notch. The restaurant is located on a corner just down the street from the Vons in downtown long beach. Parking was difficult on a Saturday night as we had to circle the block a few times to find street parking but the restaurant itself had plenty of seating and no wait. We got seated, ordered, ate, and paid all within 45 minutes. I couldn't ask for a better dinner experience!
I had such a great experience here yesterday! What really stands out is the service; it's swift, attentive, and most importantly, kind. The food is also good! They start you with complimentary miso soup, which was a saving grace because I was ravenous. And then, we ordered 3 items, which were all tasty! Nothing too special, just solidly yummy. Also, the prices are reasonable The inside is casual and cozy. Worth trying out if you're unsure:)
